Organizational Background
Momentum is a national 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy organization focused on building public support for queer and trans rights, strengthening grassroots organizing, and advancing policy and culture change across Canada.
Our work spans public engagement, narrative change, coalition building, and rapid-response advocacy in a shifting and often hostile political environment. Momentum operates at the intersection of community mobilization and national-level influence, requiring communications that are both grounded in community and agreeable to decision makers.
Project Objectives
The rebrand must:
- Establish a clear, differentiated identity that reflects Momentum’s role as a national advocacy leader
- Strengthen clarity, consistency, and impact of messaging across audiences
- Provide a flexible visual system that works across institutional, community, and advocacy contexts
- Support growth in fundraising, partnerships, and public visibility
- Enable internal efficiency through clear templates and guidelines

Additional Notes
Momentum is looking for a partner who can operate with a high degree of strategic judgment. This is not a purely aesthetic exercise. The work must reflect the realities of advocacy, political tension, and rapid-response communications, while also building a durable and credible national brand. Proposals that demonstrate an understanding of this balance will be prioritized.
Momentum is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from individuals impacted by colonialism, racism, classism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, or other or multiple forms of oppression.
Preference will be given to Black, Indigenous, and racialized queer and trans people, as well as qualified candidates with disabilities, who are neurodiverse, or who are newcomers legally entitled to work in Canada. Self-identification by candidates is completely voluntary.
