Fae Johnstone is the executive director of Queer Momentum, a non-profit advocacy organization powering queer political action across Canada. She is an award winning activist, a sought-after public speaker and frequent voice on queer and progressive issues in Canadian media. She was once on a chocolate bar. Fae is driven by a simple desire: to build a more free, equal and socially just Canada - one conversation and campaign at a time.
In 2023, Fae was the Grand Marshal of the Ottawa Capital Pride Parade. She was the National Grand Marshal of Saskatoon Pride in 2024, and Trans Ambassador for Pride Toronto in 2025. Fae was named one of Canada's "Righteous Queens of 2023" by Xtra Magazine. Her writing has been published in major newspapers across the country, including the Toronto Star and Ottawa Citizen.
Fae serves on the boards of directors of YWCA Canada and Oxfam Canada, marking her commitment to interational solidarity, gender justice and women's rights.
