Join Queer Momentum’s Fundraising Committee

We are looking for up to 6 individuals to join Queer Momentum’s fundraising committee, mandated to guide and support our fund development and donor engagement strategies.

With anti-queer and anti-trans hate on the rise, we are looking for passionate individuals with fundraising experience and expertise, to help us grow our revenue and thereby scale up our advocacy for 2SLGBTQIA+ equality, freedom and human rights.

The fundraising committee, which includes representatives from Queer Momentum’s staff team and board of directors, works to develop, guide and implement fundraising strategies with a focus on individual donor engagement and growth.

We are particularly seeking individuals with:

Formal work experience in fundraising, including development of donor engagement and growth strategies, particularly experience in small individual donor growth.
Experience engaging with corporate sponsors, foundations and other funding sources.

Position Details:

Participating on the Fundraising Committee is a volunteer commitment.
The anticipated monthly commitment is between 3 and 5 hours.
The committee meets virtually on a monthly basis.
Membership on the committee has a 1-year term with possibility of renewal.

We're Hiring: Communications Specialist

The Society of Queer Momentum is seeking a full-time Communications Specialist to help lead the organization’s communications, campaigns, and public profile. This is a one-year contract, with anticipated start date in early June 2026

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a $70,000 salary and two weeks (10 days) vacation.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Specialist will play a central role in shaping how Momentum communicates with supporters, partners, media, and the broader public. This role is responsible for delivering strong, strategic, and high-quality communications that advance advocacy goals, support organizing and campaign work, strengthen Momentum’s brand, and help grow the organization’s reach and impact across Canada.

This position is suited to someone who is politically aware, strategically minded, highly organized, and deeply committed to 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and issues. The successful candidate will bring strong judgment, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-moving environment.
